That Day Of Love

by Mandy Taymany

A day that passed really fast. It is the LOVE dates and the romance. Some people get grossed out but some people who are not forever alone LOVE it. I love it and I'm forever alone but I LOVE it. The movies with Kawaii are so romantic. In the future I would order myself flowers and chocolates because it's Valentine's Day, so why not? I would even adopt myself a kitten so I won't be forever alone that much and dress it up. OMG it would look so Kawaii. Back to the subject....love, it's so pretty...the flowers, chocolates (of course) are yummy. That is all I would talk about for the day of love for now haha.

Many Ways To Be Caring...

by Devika Darjee

1. Be a friend to someone who does not have any friends.

2. If your classmates share an idea and you started to talk, how would you feel if someone did that to you?

3. If the teacher calls on you and you don't know the answer and you just make a guess and someone says you're wrong instead of saying you're wrong, say "I disagree with you because....."

4. If you see someone falling down don't laugh at them, help. Imagine if it was you and nobody helped you, how would you feel?

5. Be respectful to the teacher and when she is teaching don't start talking and if you see someone talking tell them to be quiet in a nice way.

Letter from the Editor

Welcome back to the Cobbet Chronicles!

I am thrilled with the hard work that the Cobbet Cougar Reporters have been putting forth in their writing. This edition of the Chronicles includes writing and reporting for February and March. For our April edition, we plan to showcase our character trait of the month, which is effort. If you have a story, poem, article, illustration, photograph or video that showcases you and/or your classmates putting forth your best effort we would love for you to share it with us. We are always happy to include GUEST WRITING in our newspaper, as we hope it represents our school as a whole. Enjoy!

States of Matter...They Matter!

By Jiannie Rivera

Hi my name is Jiannie and today I will be talking about matter, but it is not like "What is the matter?" Matter is solid, liquid and gas. Solid is like a hard rock. Liquid is like the things that you can drink but some liquid you can't drink. Gas fills the space like a little bottle that has gas will be full of gas. That is all I have to say about matter.

Cobbet Girl's Basketball Game

by Blanca Flores

The girl's baketball team won their last game for the season against Callahan on 3/3/16. Number 4, Barezza made a basket for two points. She is really good. Tallisha also got a basket that put the Cougars ahead by 6 points. Angeliz put in a basket to put Cobbet ahead by 8. I think that Cobbet is the best team. I think that they will win. YAYY COBBET!!!

Character Counts

The Cobbet Character Trait for February is

Caring

Are you caring?

How do you show others that your care about them?

Please take a moment to discuss what it means to be a caring individual with your child.

"Joey come here!" called his mom. "There is going to be a big earthquake in town so come inside." "OK mom." Joey was a very big ten year old child. He lived in a big house and had a big bed. Joey had a power that he could talk to winds, storms, rain and the sun. Everyone had hope that he could help them. But Joey's mom didn't think it was a good idea, but Joey wanted to help. So Joey went to talk to the earthquake, but it didn't work, so he grabbed the earthquakes tail and threw the earthquake into the sky. Everyone cheered for Joey. THE END!

I am going to tell you my story about Valentine's Day. This is where my story begins. Mrs. Laverdure got to read to our classroom and then my teacher have us some cookies that were the shape of a heart and some goldfish. One of the best things is that all of my class had a really good day and the kids in our classroom gave out lots of Valentine's. There were some nice surprises for our classroom and here is where my story ends.
