Thanksgiving Day

By Elsie Acosta

In my family on Thanksgiving we join together and have a festive party. In my family we put papers in a bowl and everyone picks one paper. Whichever paper you get tells what you have to make for Thanksgiving. You have the three days before Thanksgiving to put your food on the table. Then on Thanksgiving we eat it. First we say a prayer and then we all say "Happy Thanksgiving!"

Some of the foods that we like to cook are:

  • turkey

  • rice with meat

  • spaghetti

  • vegetables

  • pits

  • muffins

  • cake

When we are finished we do first in math or we do our morning work. Sometimes they bring munchkins for us!
