Wonder: A Book Review
By Francisca Gomes
In wonder R.J. Palacio tells the story of Auggie. He is a tough and sweet 10-year-old boy. He was born with distorted facial features, caused by an anomaly in his
DNA. Palacio said the book wsa inspired by a real encounter she had with her own children when they were six years old.
When I read the book I thought people were being very mean to Auggie because of how his face looks. He had many surgeries to try to fix him, and he still looks different. I feel bad for him. I feel like he is getting bullied too much.
Into the Woods: A Movie Review
By Joshua Cintron
Into the Woods is a Disney movie starring Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, James Corden, Chris Pine and Johnny Depp. All in all I think this movie was an amazing journey that teaches us how to get through something. If you need to get through something you have to stick together!

Letter From The Editor
By Miss Bartlett
Welcome back to the Cobbet Chronicles!
The reporters at Cobbet have been hard at work, brainstorming ideas about how to bring you the latest news! They have been gaining lots of new technology skills throughout this process: creating keynote presentations, saving and using images from safari on an iPad, and using wireless technology (iPads & air drop) to share ideas and collaborate with one another when editing and publishing our writing.
It has been so exciting to see reporters back from last year as well as many new faces on our team! I hope you enjoy reading their writing as much as I do!

Staff Member Stuck: Mr. Burt!
By Jefferson Cruz
The whole gymnasium was filled with kids and adults in the bleachers, excited for what was to come. That was the day when the kids in Cobbet Elementary School would tape Mr. Burt to the gymnasium's wall.
During the summer kids were supposed to do their summer reading challenge. If they didn't they would sit on the left bleachers while the students who did do their summer reading would sit on the right bleachers. Even though the kids who didn't do the challenge didn't get to be a part of the taping fun, they were allowed to talk during the taping.
Every student who did the challenge got one piece of colored duct tape and lined up to put their piece on Mr. Burt. While it happened Mr. Burt had to stand on a stool to get taped to the wall. It took a lot of time though and about half of the school helped to do it. We had a lot of fun at the assembly, and I will do my summer reading again so I can get another piece of tape for next year!

By Jefferson Cruz
Cozmo is a robot with a big personality. He can be bought at Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. When you get Cozmo he is packed with cubes too because the cubes are used to interact with Cozmo. He stacks them, moves them, and plays games with you using the cubes.
Cozmo has a mobile application which can let you play with him and the application can do many other things like making cozmo pick up the cubes or throwing them. Cozmo can move freely when you turn him on. Cozmo can also recognize your ace! For Cozmo to do this you have to take a photo of yourself and then Cozmo will slowly recognize your face the more you play with him! Cozmo knows and does many mind-blowing things. you could even say he is your friend!
