Why You Should Save Water

We should save water in the environment. You should shut off the faucet, because you lose 5 gallons of water a day from a leaking sink. Also, not lots of people in life have water to survive. That is really sad. Later in life there might not be enough water for all people. Some places are in dire need of clean, safe, drinkable water. Some countries that need clean, drinkable water are Cambodia, India, and more. The earth has 2% of water available to us. Scientists believe that one third of earth's population will not have enough fresh water by 2025. In many places, people pump water from underground. That is why you should save and conserve water.
A Fun Day @ Cobbet: Field Day!

Here at Cobbet, every year we have a day called Field Day. At field day, we have a ton of stuff and games we can play and it is actually the best day of the school year. We do Field Day because we celebrate the hard work we have done through the whole year. This year Field Day is June 8th, but if it rains that day we will do it on the 9th. We always wear a shirt that says "Cobbet Elementary: A good player is always a winner!" I like the way it says that because you are always going to be a winner no matter if you lose or win. You will always be a winner. Another thing we do is play water games! One of the water games we have done through the years is a game called "Restaurant Wait Race". The way you play this game is by being the waiter and getting a tray that has plastic cups that are filled with water and you run or speed walk to the other side and then come back to your side without spilling all the water on the floor. The things that people love about Field Day are the bouncy house, the face paint and the big giant slide. At Field Day, all the teachers in the school help to do this!!!

Newspaper Club Information

At Cobbet elementary school there is a newspaper club. In the newspaper club you write information about things that are interesting to people (such as you or your family or your friend). You can also write jokes or puns or things that you like to do or events that will happen or already happened or song and movie reviews and why you like it. This newspaper club at Cobbet is really good for people who love writing or who like to inform people about things. Like now I am informing you about the newspaper club at Cobbet. You can also interview people at home or at school when you get the chance to. I really like the newspaper club because you can pick what you want to write about and because I love writing about past and present things. I love newspaper.
Who is Michelle Obama?

Michelle Obama was a pretty, smart and tall girl. She always stands up for herself. She was the first African American first lady of the United States. Michelle got married to Barack Obama, that is how she got her last name. She used to be the first lady when she lived in the White House.
Workout Wednesday

At Workout Wednesday Mrs. Marrie is trying to help people exercise and stay healthy. Mrs. Marrie will let you bring a basketball. If not, we have a discussion about the things that you are supposed to learn how to do in workout club. If you don't listen, you will be asked to leave the gym.
Movie Review: Beauty and The Beast

In the beginning of the movie there was a girl named Belle who loved reading books. She reads books everywhere she goes. There was a man who loved Belle, but she does not like him. So one day Belle's father went to explore and while he was exploring in the snow, he became very tired and hungry. So then he found this castle where he thought he could rest, but then the beast got Belle's father and locked him up. Then Belle came and replaced the father and put herself in jail instead to let her father be free. The man that loved Belle came and tried to kill the beast. Gaston wanted to save Belle so he shot the beast three times, but true love won. Then when Belle kissed the beast he turned into a prince and then they got married and lived happily ever after. At the end of the story they had a party!
Planetarium Predictions

Today I am going to tell you about the predictions that I made about our Field Trip to the Science Museum in Boston. We are going on the Field trip on May 30th. I predict that there is going to be a lot of plants and a lot of facts about plants that we didn’t know about. Another thing I think is that there’s going to be a place where you can feel like if you are in outer space and rocket ships in which you can get in. Also, I think that we are going to do a lot of activities that we will be able to do as a group. Something else I think that will happen is us being able to see a movie or play about space. I know a good movie that goes with space, it is called “Space Chips”. I am so excited to go on the Field Trip that I can’t sleep because of how excited I am to go. Okay my buddies this is my prediction about my field trip. Don’t forget to read the part 2 about this, it’s going to be about what happens at the Field Trip!
2017 Cobbet Girl's Basketball Team Summary

In the school year 2017 there was a girl's basketball team that had about 15 girls on the team. Their names are Najesie, Diana, Arizona, Josiani, Ashley, Emily, Anjelise, Kendra, Vanessa, and that is the majority of them. We had a lot of games verse other schools. Some of the schools we played were Connery, Tracy, and Drewicz. Those are some of the schools that we played this year. We ended the season with 5 losses and 6 or 7 wins. The championship game was good. We won the first game and lost the second game. We lost the second game because the other team did not play against another school and we had played the day before so we were tired and they were good and ready to play. So we won a metal and they won a trophy. I really like basketball, it is my favorite sport!
Haitian Flag Day: May 19, 2017

Haitian Flag Day was a great day! I got to be a soldier for a day. My little sister Betty got to be the leader of the crew. I also ate a lot of different foods and they all tasted good and these were the foods I ate: white rice, chicken, and plantains with sauce. After I was done eating I played musical chairs, and I won! Then I ate some cake. In the beginning of the parade I got to see a person that was in charge of the Haitian people and then I saw the real knife that he was holding. I also saw the words that were on the flag. Then at 2:00 we all waited for the people to come pick us up and then we went home and I had to go to another flag day celebration in Boston with Betty and my brother Billy. We all had so much fun that day.
